Are you part of an organization that often finds yourself wondering what to do with extra food? Do you currently have a plan in place with the Montgomery County Food Bank, but could use a weekend pick-up? Maybe you just have an occasional need for pick-up? We may be able to help you and in turn, help others!
We have donors and recipients throughout the county – Willis to The Woodlands, Tamina to Tomball, Montgomery, Magnolia, Conroe, Splendora, and New Caney. We work with national and local restaurants, caterers, grocery stores, pantry stocking events, beverage donations, and food donation drives.
As long as it complies with governing health codes and Safe Food Handling Practices, Keep US Fed Montgomery County will pick up, at no cost to you, any type and quantity of food or beverage and deliver it to a charitable organization that helps people experiencing food insecurity.
You are protected from liability by the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act (PUBLIC LAW 104-210—OCT. 1, 1996 110 STAT 3011 Public Law 104-210. 104th Congress). You can be proud your hard work will not go to waste and stay out of the landfill, contributing to a cleaner environment.
We cannot accept home cooked meals, prepared meals older than 7 days, meals that have been plated, or food from a self-serve buffet.
You don’t have to commit to a regular pick-up (although that would be great)! Let’s talk about how you can help! Call Us at 936-206-3604.
